Bio
Jennie Marino
Many moons ago, I started out as an animator, but earned a living in costume performing magic, clowning and puppetry. A small vaudevillian troupe evolved into Moonboots Productions, a production company creating special event entertainment and decor. Ten years later, I switched hats to study special effect makeup techniques with Dick Smith and delved back into theatre craft, building props, puppets and practical effects.
Since then I have created hundreds of pieces for more than 50 Broadway shows, been nominated for the Henry Hewes Design Award in Noteworthy and Unusual Effects by the American Theatre Wing, lent my handcraft to local & regional theatre, and taught master classes at the Broadway Teaching Group in NYC.
