Jennie began her career as an animator (pre-dawn computer age), but earned a living in costume, performing magic, clowning and puppetry throughout the Northeast and parts of the Caribbean. She and her husband evolved a small vaudevillian troupe into a production company creating custom entertainment and decor for festivals, social and corporate events. Ten years later, she sold that company to study special effect makeup techniques with Dick Smith.
Nominated for the Henry Hewes Design Award in Noteworthy and Unusual Effects by the American Theatre Wing, Jennie continues to experiment with new ways to tell stories. She shares her enthusiasm and professional experiences by volunteering in local theatre and teaching master classes at the Broadway Teaching Group in NYC. Many years and 50+ Broadway shows later, she is still passionately engaged in the visual and performance arts.
